Research interests of the Environmental Toxicology faculty cross several disciplines and faunal groups (fish, mollusks, insects and crustaceans). Specific foci include endocrine toxicology, nuclear receptors, thermal biology, toxicology and physiology of metals, conservation biology, and the environmental fate of chemicals (chemical speciation. ENVITOX performs research on the occurrence and effects of a broad range of pollutants within biological systems from the molecular to the population level, using field sampling, controlled experiments (in vitro and in vivo) as well as mathematical take integrated approaches to study the impacts of pollutants, climate change, habitat degradation and disease on a variety of.

According to the Society of Toxicology, most graduates with bachelor's and associate's degrees start their careers as lab technicians and research assistants. While the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) doesn't collect data on toxicologists specifically, it reports that the median annual wages for chemical and biological technicians. My background is more ecological and addressing biodiversity. I feel that Environmental toxicology is highly human health oriented so I am more inclined to use an Ecotoxicology book like Newan's.

The Graduate Program in Environmental Toxicology at Clemson University was established in and has developed into a truly interdisciplinary academic program with participating faculty from the College of Science, the College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences, and the Department of Environmental Engineering and Earth Sciences.   Jose A. Valciukas is associate professor of psychiatry at New York Medical College and director of the Psychology Internship Program at Lincoln Hospital. He is the author of Forensic Neuropsychology: Conceptual Foundations and Clinical Practice, and was managing editor of the journal Environmental :
